Purdue Day of Giving is the largest single-day philanthropic effort in higher education. Athletics uses their donations to fund student-athlete scholarships, facilities, equipment, travel, et al, so this is a big day for us. In 2020, this year meant more than ever with the creation of the More Than A Game campaign, intended to will help offset a Purdue Athletics budget shortfall that could approach or exceed $50 million due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2020 marked my second Purdue Day of Giving and the seventh overall. My task was to leverage JPC and Purdue Sports social media platforms, email marketing, and media outreach into a record-breaking number of gifts.
